Passengers travelling abroad

If you are travelling abroad and wish to take with you any agricultural product / s, you will require a Phytosanitary Certificate (PC). You are requested to apply for a Phytosanitary Certificate (PC) at least 5 days prior to your departure date. The certificate will be issued by the NPPO 24 hours prior to your travel.

Kindly note that:

To UK

The maximum quantity allowed per PC is 2 kg, if you are travelling to UK.

To other countries

The maximum quantity allowed per PC is 10 kg, if you are travelling to other countries.

Planting materials

Planting materials (cuttings, plantlets, seeds) are subject to treatment by the NPPO and should be brought to the Office or Sub Offices for necessary action.

Please note that for planting material, you should specify in your application the type of plant part which you wish to export i.e (bare rooted plants, budwood, grafted plants, bulbs, unrooted cuttings, leaves, scions, tissue culture plantlets or tissue culture in flasks etc.)

No soil is allowed for export.

Any planting material should be washed free of soil. All consignments should be clean and free of soil, pests and diseases.
