In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Agro-Industry and Food Security wishes to inform the public that:

• all live animals (Dog, Cat or other pets) imported into Mauritius must be registered as manifest cargo.
• the import of pets as accompanied baggage or in cabin is strictly prohibited.
• information on procedures and application for an import permit can be obtained at the Livestock and Veterinary Division at Réduit on email: petimport@govmu.org
