The Division of Veterinary Services (DVS) is a regulatory and service providing government body which is involved in the following activities:
Providing quality veterinary services to ensure the interests of animal health, animal welfare and veterinary public health and sustainable animal industry for the benefit of mankind and promoting animal welfare.
To be an institution which has the trust of all stakeholders in the animal industry.

The Ministry of Agro-Industry, Food Security, Blue Economy and Fisheries wishes to inform exporters, stakeholders, passengers intending to carry plants and plant products abroad and members of the public that, with effect from 23 July 2026, a new electronic payment facility through the Mauritius Central Automated Switch (MAUCAS) will be available on the Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Information Management Portal (https://sps.govmu.org).
The MAUCAS payment option will facilitate online payments for services relating to the issuance of:
Users of the SPS Information Management Portal will be able to make secure and convenient cashless payments using QR Code and Internet banking.
Users are invited to avail themselves of this enhanced payment service through the SPS Information Management Portal as from 23 July 2026.
